2009 Eleven
Red Blend

The Eleven Red is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from the warmer reaches of Santa Ynez plus a bit of Tempranillo and Sangiovese from Oak Savanna Vineyard.  The Cabs are the two lead guitarists…each vying for a lead solo, but rather finding harmony.  They lend a bit of cassis and earthy spice to this rich red blend.  The Tempranillo and the Sangio are the rhythm section…backing up and bracing up the Cabs with high notes of smoky tar and rose petals.  Just as we finished this blend, we noticed that something was missing…it needed some Cow Bells…so, we added a bit of Grenache to complete this rock ballad.  This blend definitely goes to e11even!
