2009 Syrah
Terra Bella Vineyard

The Syrah from this vineyard grows on steep, limestone-rich hillsides and arrives at the winery very ripe yet balanced, yielding a deeply colored wine (darkest in the cellar) with distinctive aromas and flavors of blueberries and raspberries. We aged the wine in mostly new French oak, so there is a nice layer of vanilla, clove, and toasty notes as well. This is a very full-bodied wine that will benefit from more aging in the bottle. I suggest that you drink this over the next 3-7 years.
